In difficult times we need some best resources in our arsenal. I am listing 5 books which give the best life lessons. Motivation is something that is subjective! I have personally got a lot of inspiration from these books and I hope you feel the same throughout.
Here are those 5 books which can help you get through this quarantine age;
- The Alchemist
One of the best works of Paulo Coelho in 1988, a story capturing the journey of a young shepherd where he meets interesting people and thrilling situations. I would like to encourage readers to stick to the soul of the story, which is the journey of the shepherd.
The book has some interesting points of view on omens, treasure, goals and much more.
I have written a blog where I have mentioned a short story that is a part of this book and it is my personal favorite. If you want to check out that, its right here
- The Great Gatsby
A timeless classic and again one of my most loved books by the legendary F. Scott Fitzgerald. It is regarded as one of the best in the century and the authors like Haruki Murakami are his biggest fans.
The book is about the incomplete ambition of powerful Jay Gatsby. However, irrespective of his powers the journey has its own course and leaves us with a wonderful weaved piece of brilliance. I have my own favorite quote from this book;
“So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.”

The book is written in 1946 documenting Victor Frankl’s experience in the Nazi concentration camps during World War 2.
There cannot be a better book to read amidst this massive pandemic. The book eases past through the concept of survival and finding happiness in life-threatening situations.
- The Leader Who Had No Title
A well-made fable on leadership in your profession as well as in life. The unique selling point of this book is the leadership lessons are irrespective of any decorative profession. It teaches leadership as an individual quality across the profession.
